In my personal experienceπŸ‘ΌπŸ‘Ό, when I take a πŸš–taxiπŸš– and talkingπŸ‘„πŸ‘„ with the driver using English, the driver will show a very surprised look and ask me are you really an international student from Asia? Maybe the words people speak in life can reveal the racial prejudice a person have. This experience impressed me a lot, but it's only a small part compared with the movie I will talk about. In this film is a kind of people who can't enter the town after sunsetπŸŒ„πŸŒ…. There is a book that limits the whole race. 🌻🌻No matter how distinguished you are, your skin color will always limit you.🌞🌞

Although hardly enthused at working for a black man, Tony accepts the job and they begin with a Green book a travel guide throughπŸ“š《America's racial segrega tion》πŸ“šHowever, they witness and endure America's appalling injustices on the road. An impressive quote is πŸ’šπŸ’š“For vacation not aggravation”πŸ’šπŸ’š this is write on the green book’s cover. This book reminds the driver which πŸ²πŸ˜‹restaurant,πŸ˜‹ garageπŸš—πŸš—, and hotels🏨🏨 that serve black people. This indicate the πŸ‘Ήdiscrimination πŸ‘Ήfor black people. All the poor hotels provide for black people. Compared with Tony's hotels, 😞even though Tony's identity is lower than Shirley's, he can get good care because he is white. πŸ˜žThis is 😏IRONIC😏, althoughπŸ’” inspirational on its surface, it presents a pretty bleak picture of intolerance in 1962 America, πŸ’”no matter how talented the man is, the color of his skin determines his life. This green book is 😟NOT ONLY πŸ˜Ÿtelling Tony where to take Shirley, 😡BUT ALSO😡 reminded him don't go to these places.

The American dream present in an idealistic way. American dream suggest everybody can achieve their dream if they work hard, However it ignored the existence of racial discrimination. Not only racial bias is deeply rooted in people’s heart, but also people need Eliminate self-prejudice. Shirley said: “I am not white enough, not black enough even not man enough, so who am I?” He is not white enough because the color of him is black, even he is a famous pianist. Before he plays, someone also throws πŸ’©garbageπŸ’© on his piano. πŸ™‹Everyone will judge him only by his skin color.πŸ™… When Tony repaired the car, he saw the black people farming. When he saw these people, he thinks that his skin color and identity were not consistent, and the black πŸ‘΄farmers thought Shirley should be as hard working and humble as they wereπŸ‘΄, rather than being able to hiring a white man to drive for him, 😭Shirley like an outsider both from White and Black.😭 Finally, He didn't have the courage to contradict the white  that’s why he think he is not man enough. In the process of Tony getting along with Shirley, he changes his mind about black people. πŸŽ„On Christmas EveπŸŽ„ he hugs Shirley. Shirley also eliminated the discrimination about himself and take the initiative to seek happiness. In fact, the American dream is to have a colorful race. Tony learned gentleness from Shirley. Shirley also found his own happiness by Tony help.
