Part 2--Edward(Enhao)Zhang-- The UNIQUE Gatsby with the American Dream in Steve Jobs
The American dream is a MENTAL success of following my unique ways about how to do things and to be myself in my own ways to separate one from others with ignorance❗ of other people's judgments❌ and actions❎ to me. Only to be unique to myself and achieve my goal in my way can be my own success. On Gatsby, I can see the same spirit as the American dream.
Gatsby believes that money can do everything even though it was a wrong❌ idea, but he still sticks on it. He is very stubborn, although most people in his party🎉 think Gatsby was doing wired❓, he did not give up❌ to hold the party🥳 and waiting for Daisy👧. Also, Gatsby belongs to a new money group, compared to people who belong to old money, Gatsby can do things in his way instead of following the tradition✖.
During the party, Gatsby does not like other people who dance and play games at the party, he just "standing👣 alone on the marble steps and looking from one group to another with approving eyes👀." This behaviour shows that he is different from other rich people who came to his party, in other words, he is unique. After the party, he drives his car to pick up Nick, his car🚗 " was a rich cream colour, bright with nickel..."

Gatsby actually achieves most of his American Dream, the part he achieved is that he met the woman, Daisy, who he tries all the things to approach, to get a chance to met. Also, Gatsby spent a lot of happy time🙋 with Daisy, which makes Gatsby thinks he achieves his own dream, but the fact is that Daisy is not the perfect woman in his mind. The changes of Daisy are the parts Gatsby does not achieve because he can not believe that the woman in his mind for five years now turns in to a mother who has a daughter. After that, Gatsby decides to live in his own imagination🧠 that he can use the money to change Daisy to the person in his memory, which can not be done all the time.
Compare Gatsby to Steve Jobs, they have a lot of similar ideas. Both of them are stubborn because they do things in their own way and they have their personal reason, and then other people see them as wired people and do not understand why they do things like this. Jobs does not care what other people say about the products he made but keep making cool products to change the world, Gatsby does not care how the people in the party judge him but keep making himself famous to get Daisy's attention to meet her. The only thing that differs between Jobs and Gatsby is that Jobs does not change his goal at all, but Gatsby changed his goal without changing his idea. So, Steve Jobs succeed but Gatsby did not.
