Part 1 Bill (YuHang) Shi -- The Medium of Lies in American Dream

   Some people believe the American dream is the hope🙏🌟 for people who live in low social class😔 to have a better future if they can work hard💪. However, other people think the American dream is the lie👀 that the government used to control people to reduce the extent of social unrest👿.

      As far as I am concerned, I believe The American dream is an unrealistic and fragile medium 🎢to achieve success🗽, which will make people ignore reality. In this way, The American dream will be destroyed🏚🏚🏚 easily, when people find that they get nothing👋👋👋 after working hard for their American dream.

People always think that the American dream could be the bridge to change their social class 🤴👸by working hard. However, the truth is that no matter how hard they work, it is impossible🙅🙅🙅 for them to achieve their dream if their dream beyond their situation.  Then, they will find that the dream is the beautiful but fragile bubble🤦‍♂️🤷🙍‍♂️

From my personal experience, I was always been told that working hard could always change people's life, however, I understand that could be a lie 🙇‍♂️after I talk with my sister. She once volunteered to teach children 👩‍🏫who live in the remote mountain area 🏔🏔🏔and she told me that the students in that area are much more hard-working 💪👍👍than us. However, it is much more difficult for them to get into a good university 😩😩😩because of their bad education resource. 🤯🤯Thus, I can imagine that the American dream could be the lie🤭 to make people who live low social class🥺 feel better.

The bankruptcy😭😭😭 of Detroit's government in 2013 is a good example to show that the American dream is the lie to make people forget the reality behind prosperity🚗🚗🚗. Detroit used to be a flourishing and beautiful city known worldwide for its developed car manufacturing facilities. Thus, there were plenty of people coming to this city to make money and achieve their personal American dream. Everyone trusts this city that all of them think it is the place to change their social class. Nevertheless, the American dream seemed to lose its control that leads only to focus on automotive manufacturing which beyond reality and make the medium towards the American dream become unrealistic and fragile. Since the government has bankrupt, there were lots of people lost their job and home, which led the city’s population to fall by half. Also, the loss of the American dream drives the high crime rate in this city and became the “sin city”.  It shows the American dream is fragile 😈that people will lose everything 😱😱😱if they put too much hope on the American dream. The results could never be wonderful when they misunderstand the meaning of striving.

 In Wikipedia, it is said that "Kentucky Senator Rand Paul stated that he will not allow the government to bail out the city, saying "He is bailing them out over my dead body because we don't have any money in Washington'."😠😠😠

 This part shows that even the government cannot give people a promise😇 that the American dream is reliable. American dream is an unrealistic bridge to success. In this way, I can understand the other side of the American dream which is weak and dark😈, and this news shows the consequence of people who steadfastly support the American dream. This news shows the American dream in a realistic way because people will lose everything they own 😨😰😱from the American dream. 💀☠️👻
